2026 Southwest Division 1 Boys Player of the Year and All District Teams
Isaiah Durflinger delivered a standout junior campaign for Beavercreek, securing the honor of 2025-26 Southwest District Division 1 Player of the Year.
Maintaining a district-leading overall average of 225.3 alongside a tournament average of 215.8, Durflinger demonstrated exceptional consistency across both dual matches and high-stakes tournament environments.
Isaiah's performance earned him the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) Bowler of the Year award, as he concluded the season with a conference average of 231.0, the second-highest in the area. This achievement places him in elite company within the Beavercreek program; historically, only Michael Donahue and Eric Clemmer have recorded higher single-season conference averages.
The season was punctuated by several elite performances, most notably on December 8 at Beaver Vu Lanes, where Durflinger achieved a perfect 300 game against Fairmont. His ability to maintain high-ceiling scoring was evident throughout the winter, including:
290 Game: Recorded against Centerville (Dec. 18)
280 Game and season-high 544 series: Recorded against Wayne (Jan. 22)
Durflinger maintained his momentum into the postseason, averaging 236.5 at Sectionals. At the District Tournament, he was one of three Beavercreek athletes to post a 740+ three-game series, directly contributing to the team's advancement to State. He concluded his junior year with a Top 50 individual finish at the State Championship.
As he moves into his senior year, he will undoubtedly be one to watch among a healthy number of quality upperclassmen next season.
