2026 Southwest Division 1 Girls Player of the Year and All-District Teams
We are proud to announce the Southwest Division 1 Girls Player of the Year and All District Teams. This year we teamed up with Miami Valley High School Bowling to put together this list!
We are recognizing 8 individuals each on the First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention teams. There are no physical trophies to hand out so hopefully the virtual award will suffice
Criteria for finalists:
Overall avg had to be at least: (200, D1 boys), (190, D2 boys), (170, D1 girls), (160, D2 girls)
Tournament avg at least 190 (D1 and D2 boys), 160 (D1 girls), 150 (D2 girls)
Scored in at least 70% of team games
School competed as a member of the Southwest District in the 2025-26 season.
Division 1 Player of the Year - Gracie Hood
Bellefontaine’s Gracie Hood dominated just about every single statistical category, combining elite consistency with peak post-season performance to earn her the 2025-26 Southwest District Division 1 Player of the Year award.
Hood captured the "Triple Crown", finishing out the season with the highest averages across the board, leading the field in Overall Average (226.95), Tournament Average (227.87), and Conference Average (225.9). Her scoring floor is higher than most players' ceilings.
She took 1st place in the Sectional tournament and 4th at Districts, and followed it all up by winning the D1 State individual championship. Gracie added four 1st place finishes in five regular season tournaments. The Mount Mercy University signee set a state record for a 3-game series with a 788 at the BHS Classic on Dec 29.
The 2-time Central Buckeye Conference Player of the Year didn't just have the best stats or the best tournament run — she had both, making her the most mathematically dominant player in the rankings.
