Bombers Fall in Home Opener
The Bowling Bombers kicked off league play with a home match against the Elder Panthers. The Bombers fresh off a pair of 4th place tournament finishes while the Panthers took first at the Royal-Z Kick Off. The Bombers looked for their first win over Elder since December 14th, 2023. The Panthers hold a 57 and 30 record over the Bombers.
In game one, sophomore Mason Carota strung strikes as he rolled a 242 for high game for the Bombers. Luke Stigall and Joe Geers put up games of 206 and 201. Jack Kaiser rolled a 175 (354 series) and Brad Giuffre and Ian McConnell combined to shoot a 174. However, the Panthers had 3 roll north of 275 with Josh Honaker shooting a 289 (464 series) and Jayden Brown (458 series) and Nick Clark (467 series) shooting 278 each. After one, the Bombers were down 1272 to 998.
The Bombers found their footing in game two with a team score of 1001. Joe Geers led St. X with a 216 for a 417 series. Mason Carota finished his 449 series with a 207 game while Luke Stigall finished a 411 with a 205 game. Ian McConnell fell just shy of a 200 with a 194. Jordan Rottinghouse was the only panther to cross 200 with a 223 (437 series). After 2, the Bombers trailed 2234 to 199.
In bakers, the Bombers rolled a 763 to the Panthers 831. The Panthers win on the road 3065 to 2762. The Panthers move to 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the GCL while the Bombers fall to 0-1 and 0-1.

Since being moved to the anchor position in bakers, Junior Jack Kaiser has struck over 54% of the time. Senior Joe Geers has seen his clean frame percentage move to 89.8% on the year.

Upcoming Schedule:
The Bombers look to have a busy December. On Saturday the 4th, the Bombers travel to Columbus to roll in the Red and Blue Classic, then Moeller at Crossgate on the 11th, and then to Western Bowl for the Holiday Classic on the 14th. They then wrap up December with a GCL Quad at Northwest Lanes on the 17th and Oak Hills at Western Bowl on the 19th.

Elder won the Royal Z Kick Off tournament on the 26th. Moeller beat Walnut Hills 1923 to 1764. La Salle and Moeller are scheduled to play on Wednesday December 3rd.
