Bonded Wolves aim to climb back to districts under Coach Campbell

The West Clermont Wolves enter their sixth season under Head Coach Leslie Campbell with clear goals, strong chemistry, and the motivation to return to the top of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference. With 49 career wins already to her name, Campbell is confident this year’s group has the drive to make noise both in the regular season and postseason.

“[Our goals are] to win the conference and the conference tournament, get back to districts, and most importantly, have good sportsmanship and fun,” Campbell said.

Leadership is a defining trait for the Wolves this season, as Taylor Hooks, Lindsay Neal, Rachel Ford, and Chloe Sears return to guide a roster blending experience and fresh talent. “[They’re] leading the team and showing the underclassmen the ropes,” Campbell explained. Among those underclassmen is freshman Avery Hall, who is expected to make an early impact in her first varsity campaign.

Team chemistry is at the heart of West Clermont’s identity. “The girls are bonded,” Campbell said. “They get along really well.” That connection off the lanes has translated into resilience on them, and Campbell sees continued mental growth as the key to sustaining success through the conference grind.

The Wolves’ schedule features a mix of competitive and fun events, including the ECC Championship, where they’ll contend for the league crown, and the ever-popular East vs. West matchup. They’ll also compete in the Lincoln Lion Baker Challenge and Back to School Bash, both hosted on the sectional oil pattern — valuable experience for a team with postseason ambitions.

With camaraderie, experience, and leadership driving them forward, the Wolves are poised to make this season one of their most memorable yet.
